The Self Stop
The Self Stop is an application project designed to help people in their day to day lives, focusing on taking care of the little things that everyone needs to keep fresh and moving. Inspired by truck stops, The Self Stop challenges hustle culture by reminding people to take time to walk, eat, breath and take little moments to recharge in order to be more productive in the long run. A smart application was the chosen format as many people are reliant on their phones for both work and personal matters.
Logo
The logo was created in the shape of a truck, based on the inspiration from the truck stops. We all eventually run out of gas, better to fill up often than to be stranded on the side of the road.
Colors
Orange, blue, and sand were used for brightness and to give it a fun element. The orange is really where this element shines as it is engaging and energizing. Blue is a complementary color, allowing the orange to shine through, but also allowing for a sense of calm. The sandy text is a nice light color juxtaposing the blue for clear visibility.
